I Need Some Time Off (Joy/John)

Joy had just walked in the door of her house, she just returned from traveling with her softball team. She couldn't wait until the season was over. She loved softball, but she needed some time off.

John looked up from his spot on the couch and smiled when he saw Joy. He got up and turned the game off before he walked over to her.

"Hey sweetie, welcome home." John said.

"Hey babe, thanks." Joy smiled

"You're welcome. How was softball?" John asked.

"Hectic, as usual." Joy sighed

"Sorry babe. I know how you feel when it comes to wrestling." John said.

"Eh, it's ok." Joy said

John chuckled then put an arm around Joy.

"At least you're home now." John said.

"Yeah, I can't wait until the off-season." Joy said

"You're lucky you have an off-season." John said.

"Yeah, I know, I'm spoiled." Joy said

John chuckled.

"Want something to eat?" John asked.

"Sure." Joy said

"What do you want?" John asked.

"I do not know." Joy said

John chuckled.

"Well let's see I can make sandwiches, steak, and pasta. Want anything else we have to go out." John said.

"You had me at sandwiches." Joy laughed

John laughed.

"What kind of sandwich would you like?" John asked.

"A grilled cheese one." Joy said

"Coming right up." John said as he walked into the kitchen.

"Thank you." Joy said

"You're welcome." John said as he got the cheese and bread.

Joy sat down.

"Want water or soda?" John asked.

"Water please." Joy said
